Hey Parents,
For many of you, you saw that we kicked off this series with something called STINK 4 CHANGE.
Tonight, we wanted to be the beginning of our Series Hole in the Gospel.
We talked through the passage Luke 8:5-14.
Here are 3 questions that we pulled from vs 14.
1. What are the thinks that blind us from what is going on in the world?
2. Why experience someone elses Reality?
3. Why are you choosing (if they are) to try stink4change?
Stink4change is this…
live on $2/day & 4 gallons of water while wearing the same t-shirt day in and day out.
The Reasons:
- 1 out of 2 live on $2/day
- People in Haiti live on less than 4 gallons of water a day.
- We are blinded to all of this and therefore our heart often doesn’t break for those in desperate circumstances!
The Goal of stink4change is to experience someone else’s reality while trying to be the solution to their situation. While “STINKING’ the change part is raising funds to help build a house for a family in haiti. $6k. 1 house. 1 family. 1 community helping change another. Our challenge to students is to invite their friends to be part of the solution to others situations. It will be a story to tell of a community in oakland county who sacrificed much for the needs of others.
